The Swedish Men’s Premier League started rolling again today and the opening match was between Malmö and Hammarby.
Defender Jón Guðni Fjóluson played his first game with Hammarby but unfortunately his men did not manage to get anything out of the game, that is to say no points.
Hammarby took the lead in the 20th minute but Malmö was 2-1 over 20 minutes later. The score was 2-2 at half time; Hammarby equalized in injury time in the first half.
The score was 2-2 almost the entire second half, but Malmö scored the winning goal in the end. Final score 3-2 in this first game of the Swedish Premier League.
Jón Guðni, who is 32 years old, played the whole game for Hammarby but he came to the club from Brann in Norway before this season.

It was an Icelandic battle in the Danish 1st division when Esbjerg took on Silkeborg.
Andri Rúnar Bjarnason and Kjartan Henry Finnbogason did not play with Esbjerg in the game but Patrik Sigurður Gunnarsson and Stefán Teitur Þórðarson played with Silkeborg. Patrik had not conceded a goal in four games in a row before today’s game, but he conceded one goal in a 1-1 draw in this game.
Silkeborg is in second place and Esbjerg is in third place. There is one level difference between the teams. The top two teams in the league go straight up. Ólafur Kristjánsson is the coach of Esbjerg.
Fredericia lost 4-1 to top team Viborg. Elías Rafn Ólafsson is the goalkeeper of Fredericia who is in fifth place in the division.
